Drivers and Helpers were paid a commision based on the prior pay period data about what routes they worked, what job they did and whether they crossed specified thresholds for each job.

The client was manually calculating severance payments outside of their legacy system due to the system’s inability to calculate payments based on several factors, for e.g. the employee’s union, their length of service and the job.

School teachers are paid on an agreed contract basis every year even though the teachers are full-time regular employees. There are several schools in the school system, and contracts vary depending on the school.

The company had over fifty (50) unions, all calculating dues in various ways. We were asked to rewrite how eligible earnings were tracked and used in calculating union dues.
